Selling CD's on Ebay

Just wondered what people's experiences have been with selling CD's on ebay.

I'm a seasoned ebayer, just selling the stuff thats lying around at home, to help reduce the debts. I'm sold lots of things but never CD's - not sure why?

I'm now looking at the large pile of CD's gathering dust in the living room and wondering if I shouldn't have a clear out and make a few pennies in the process.

Is Ebay the best place to list them or should I try Amazon or elsewhere (?). I've only used Ebay and Green metrolpolis (for books) before.

Any helps, thoughts, comments would be appreciated.

I find CDs do very poorly on ebay unless they are mega rare..it is sometimes easier to list them on Amazon and just let them sit there.

However, as with all things check out completed listings on ebay and prices on Amazon first as that will help you decide.

Popular CD's generally do not sell for more than a few ££ including postage, so the only way to make any money from them after all the fees is by a shop format listing. There are still plenty of people who want a visual and touchy feely CD collection, instead of downloading tracks, but it's decreasing.

If you have anything a little less mainstream though, run some of the album titles through the completed listings search, and you may be surprised!
