A work from home idea (phone)

Dont know if this is any good for anyone but i used to work for a National Charity phoning round from home trying to recruit street collectors from a list. I cant remember pay cos it was a while ago but must have been ok as i wouldnt have done it.

It wasnt totally cold calling because some had been street collectors in the past so didnt mind a call. You phoned them first to see if they were interested normally if they werent they would be polite. Hope that helps.

I guess not money saving for me but years ago they were advertising for can collectors and paying well over the minimum wage at the time.

I just felt it was so wrong.

Cold calling does tend to get that response. I can't say I'm particularly polite to cold callers - especially as I'm ex-directory and with the telephone preference service. ;)
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...

What about people, who get cold calls asking for money to help those children, who know most of any money they give will go to pay the callers wages, then some to pay his/her supervisor.

If you can't afford to give enough to cover their wages then none of what you give will go to the children.
