RO Toys List

Someone has just mentioned that they're having problems with the new Toys list on the webpages - is anyone else having a problem? I would be interested to find out if it loads okay for everyone on dial-up especially, but anyone who has a problem - if you can let me know, with details of any problems and the speed of connection you're using.

TVM. :)

The page loads for me, but in the bottom left corner there is the yellow triangle, with a black exclamation mark with the comment error (ie, at the bottom of internet explorer). What error I don't know...

Worked it out here is what the error box says:-

    Line: 4
    Char: 1
    Error: access is denied
    Code: 0
    Url: http://www.lowesfamily.ndo.co.uk/RO2005/RO2%20Toys.htm

Um - I have no idea what that means!!! Never mind - I'll have a fiddle with it and see if I can work out what has happened. Obviously something has snuck in that shouldn't be there - its just supposed to be a bog-standard list, one pretty pic at the bottom, the title and the links to the sides. Nothing really technical.

No - wasn't you. was my fault relying on a wysiwyg editor!! Something was hiding in the code that shouldn't have been there (nothing nasty, I hasten to add) just slowing things down and confusing the browsers.

Anyway - should be better now - can you try it out?

The error still comes up for me (also on the RO 2 lists menu page?). However, I'm probably calling up a cached page, or the alternations haven't filtered around to my part of the net yet.

And yes I work for a software company so I can't help but pick up a few bits of technical knowhow.

I'm stumped then!! (no pun intended!)

Can't see anything that could be causing that, but as I mentioned, I'm not really that good at doing webpages - do it all via a wysiwyg editor, rather than doing it the "proper" way with the code. And I've got no idea at all why the second index page would do that - that was made from a clean sheet, rather than copying and pasting stuff into it - unless its something to do with the banner/link to the bottom.

For the Toys page problem, I've actually used one of the other pages as a template and then re-added the list onto it from Excel, after copying and special pasting with only the text pasted, and deleted the old one - which should have filtered out anything that shouldn't have been there (and there was a lot gone when I checked - reduced the size of it by about a quarter, anyway). So unless the other RO2 pages are popping up with problems as well, I can't see anything else wrong with it - unless, as you say, you have just loaded what was in your cache - did refreshing not work?
