Got mine today too. Pity I can't use it due to the T+Cs.

My son is coming upto 4 years old and it states that you have to travel with at least one child aged 5 to 15.
They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.

You can use the railcard if you pay for your son's journey. This will almost certainly make things a lot cheaper than not using the card! It also says this on the website:

"2. My child is under 5, can I still use a Family Railcard?
If the only child in the Family Railcard group is aged less than 5 years of age, the Railcard holder may purchase a discounted ticket in order for that accompanying adult(s) to qualify for the discount on their ticket(s)"

Just buy the discounted one, valid for a year, with a discount of 50% (not sure when you can buy it from at the reduced rate)
