Help - I need a tumble drier quickly!

It would happen in this weather wouldn't it? The heating has finally broken on my very old drier. I know it can't be fixed as last time the engineer said it was on its last legs.

So I need a new one quickly. I don't need anything fancy just one that will hold a big capacity for a family of adults, dry quickly and that can be delivered as soon as possible. I live in Milton Keynes, so we have all the big stores locally, but I seem to recall last time they quoted quite long delivery times, so local may not be best.
Can anyone suggest where I could get one please?

In the mean time I'll have to make even more use of radiators and the airing cupboard... I'm about to do the Sport Relief Mile so there'll be even more to dry later!

Thanks

I bought this one a few months ago as my little dryer burnt out and like you i needed a new one asap with 3 kids in the house and good old scottish rain:rolleyes: they have them available to collect from store and it fitted into my mondeo with the seats down;) I cant believe how quick the stuff dries in this machine as the other one was only a 3 kg one but this was the best thing ive bought in years and my washing now stays upto date;)

When i asked about delivery it was £20 and delivered in a couple of days but picking it up saved me the £20 and it was on in my house in 30 mins after purchase.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Thanks. This is very helpful. I've just been on Comet website and investigated this and other driers and decided to go for the biggest, most energy efficient I can afford. You put me in mind of thinking about the capacity etc which was useful, thanks.
Comet aren't the cheapest but they can do a quick delivery and remove my old machine, which would be a great help. So hopefully wet washing mountains will soon be a thing of the past!

After my search I eventually settled on a Hoover VHT392T which has a big capacity and paid extra for Comet to deliver and take away my old machine. Unfortunately I've had nothing but problems with it. It didn't dry towels very well, even on the bone dry setting, and although an engineers visit suggested it was just that the condenser hadn't been fitted well that didn't seem to sort it.
And finally, it stopped working completely - after less than three weeks! I've just had another engineer visit to discover that the pump has gone. So it's going back and I am going to look for another model. The VHT392T is a brand new model and is obviously having teething problems.
So if you're buying avoid this model!
