Tesco shower Gel-best buy 10p

Looking around Tesco recently I think I spotted their "best buy". Value shower gel at 10p.
I use mine to refil the bottles of hand wash which would cost me about £1.
Maybe you have found a great buy too?

I've heard of Asda's 29p shower gel which I have now, but didn't know Tesco had a value one. Have you used it? Is it decent?

The Asda one is fine and comes on a hook which works well in our shower.

Yes-its actually better than the handwash in the value range! The showergel is a value range one-no hook though! I kept a nice container from Avon years ago and kept filling it with other brands which were a lot cheaper.
So it "blue" in colour and usually on the bottom shelf-the stuff they really want you to buy is waist height-all the value stuff is lower down-people dont like bending!
In fact, a while back it was only 8p!

In the Stoke Tesco Extra (Longton branch), they had the Shimmer Shower Creme "A dazzling blend of Shimmer and Moisturiser" down as discontinued line and selling it off at 24p per bottle, a huge huge saving on normal price.

it is down in one of the end shelves in the HEalth and Beauty section facing towards the Pharmacy at the back of the store

The Shimmer shower cream is also 24p in my local store in Southampton - Great buy!

I bought a bottle of this yesterday.
The colour attracted me.

Years ago Nivea used to make a blue shower gel that smelt heavenly, I first took it on a Greek holiday over 20 years ago.

The smell reminded me for years of the mediterainian & warm sunny Greek islands.

THEN NIVIEA CHANGED THE SMELL :-(

So for years I've grabbed any new blue shower gel & had a sniff. Yesterday in Tesco I tried their value one (as I had never seen it before). & IT SMELT A BIT LIKE "THE" ONE.
Now it was in one of those funny lids where it has a skin over to stop it escaping.
So I'm going to jump in the shower now & try it, If its THE one (& its the closest I've smelt to it since Niveia let me down) then I'm back down to Tesco to clear the shelves!!!!!

Well I've used it. Sadly the smell isn't nearly as strong out of the bottle when showering. So it didn't evoke memories of sun drenched Greek islands :-(
But thats probably a tall order for 10p, LOL.

It was ok if you're not bothered about a nice strong smell. I wouldn't buy it again, but I bet hubby will use it. He'll probably be very impressed with the 10p price tag as well!

I've bought the 10p value one for 6 year old son who can't seem to use a small amount of shower gel and kept using it all up in a few days!!

I don't mind so much if it's only 10p but I think he's a bit better at the mo (fingers crossed!)

Or for those people wanting to buy from a *proper* supermarket (Tescos Psh!) SAINSBURYS do a very nice value shower gel for 11p in green which smells fruity. Thanks to OP though.
