Hi,
Maplin have these on sale over the next few days. I researched and they are made by Fujikon.

Has anyone got a pair, are they worth a buy?

The main fault with these cheap noise cancelling headsets is that they usually take out a fairly narrow frequency band.
So they may be very effective on a train but useless on an aeroplane. So the truthful answer would be:- it depends on where you want to use them.0 -
I'd probably use them on a plane yes. But I also need a new pair of headphones for home generally so I wonder if they are ok for reasonable sound quality at home too.0

I got a pair of Akai phones in the states a couple of years ago that look pretty similar to these. They have been generally good on planes and allow you to listen to ipods or in-flight movies at a much lower volume than the usual. I also keep them on generally on the plane as it makes it a quieter place.
It has to be said though that for general ipod use, I use Sennheiser CX300s as they are much more compact and sound pretty decent.
These might not be the best all-round headphones but, at that price, it might be worth a try for the plane,Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0 -

I have a pair of these I bought from Maplins about 2 years ago. For £15 they are good value. They fold up and are supplied with a carrrying pouch. I use them on planes quite often to listen to movies. They cancel out quite a lot of background noise but not all of it. I do find them better in a noisy environment than the Sony MDR EX71 in the ear phones which I normally use.0
