in Cutting tax
Salary £30k, child tax credit = £545
Salary = £18k child tax credit about £2k??
What an extra incentive, on top of tax relief/deferral for a £12k pension contribution, assuming you don't need the money!

totally depends on individual circumstances such as amount of children, age of children, disabilities, single or joint claim, how many hours worked and how much childcare if any as that all changes the level at which basic ctc kicks in.
In general is at around 18k that basic 545 kicks in until 50 ish k and then the 545 reduces until its virtually zero by 57k presuming children are all over 1.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000
