But you don't pay for them, your buyer does.Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before0

exactly, you should be charging for postage AND packaging, so you wont be out of pocket. For cheap packaging materials try the pound shop. I tend to re-use jiffy bags from my freebies, and then wrap it in brown parcel tape (10 metre roll from pound shop). :jA good friend can tell you what is the matter with you in a minute ...:A0 -
I try and keep my shipment cost down.
Ie am selling a few phone this week so they will be snet via royal mail next day delivery costing £6.00 but I only billed buyers £6.99 If i could get packing stuff for free then I could offer post cheaper (ie cost of post only and not packing)
I know what its like buying item with high p&p i sell glass items a lot so its the packing that kills my sales as a £6 glass item would have a £10.00 p&p just to the amount of packing needed to make sure it gets there safe....
You see where am coming from ?0 -
I'm so glad your not one of those sellers that charge top whack for P&P then send the item wrapped in a bin bag. :T
Can't offer much advice except pondland and asking at shops and offices.Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before0 -

I was in Morrisons the other day and found loads of pieces of bubble wrap about 60 x 60 inches in between boxes of mushrooms and fruit, I asked the sales lady if I could have some and she said have as much as you like!!! I got loads. They are immaculately clean and flat, like new. Great for wrapping small items.0
