60p on a can of coke, and the price of a phone call to Halifax to find out why I had been charged interest on a credit card I cleared earlier this month, and then closing said account

A friend and her daughter came to spend the day with us. After lunch (chicken mulligatawny soup and garlic bread for six) we went into town. Went round the charity shops, as she is an avid charry shopper like me, and I treated her daughter, aged 9, to two pairs of shorts, a summer dress and a velvet jacket - total £7.50.
Then we went to Somerfield and bought cherry pies and squirty cream, £6.09.
Extravagent really, but we came home and seven of us thoroughly enjoyed the puds together
Then a trip to the beach - no cost.
So overall, an expensive day!!!0 -
Not a single penny. However not a normal day. I'm off work today and stayed at home. Wish more of my other days were like this! One half of the world cannot understand the pleasures of the other0

Basically, whenever I nned to make a call other than 01 or 02-I check the companies on this website and most the time I find the number FREE. So could have saved your call cost to the Halifax
Worth putting in your favourites!

I was quite happy when these threads actually vanished recently....but hey!
Rather than starting a new thread each day and clogging up the boards....any chance this type of thread could simply be entitled "How much did you spend Today?" and then there will be no need of appending the date on too every single day!!
Each post has a date stamp!!
And make it a sticky!!
(Also,....logically.....if your talking about what you spent today - surely you should be writing about it at then end of the day!!! Lol
) Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...! :cool:0 -
no its good to have a new one start each day other wise u get pages and pages
