  • Hey,

These kits are an absolout nightmare . £15 pound is the cheapest i have seen them for on the high street. The funny thing is you can buy the paper seperately, for much cheapness, but you can't get the ink cartridge for them anywhere!!! I think this is a little ploy by Kodak so that you buy the packs from them and can't get them anywhere else, making them lots of money.

When i bought my camera and printing dock, i was asured these packs would be going down in price in the new year. We will see. My advice would be only print what you need to at home. (At £15 per pack = 37p per print). Otherwiise take your memory card to Asda/Tesco/boots and get 50 photos done for £5.00 = 10p per print!

If you hear of any cheaper offers on the packs please let us know and if any one knows where to buy the ink cartridges, without the paper, pleeeeeeeze let us know.

    Many thanks ;)

We got ours a while ago from Dixons or Currys, both the ink cartridge and the paper (don't quote me on that though, the other half just told me ;) )

Have to agree that it's cheaper to just take the thing into Boots or wherever.

Ours ran out the first day :o
  • If you print your photo's at home, useing the printer dock, the more pixels you use for the photograph, the more ink it will use. So if you have a 4.0million pixel camera and take a photo, printing this will use more ink than takeing a photo useing only 2.0 million pixels. (if that makes sence!?!) - plz correct me if i'm wrong. So if you are takeing photo's with a high no. of pixels, again it's cheaper to go to the shop and get them printed, because it's useing more of their ink rather than yours.

Still on the lookout for cheap cartridges or paper/cartridge packs though because the convinence and quikness of printing at home is great. Any ideas much appreciated.

I'll bear that in mind Doc and thanks for the advice.

I'll ask around to see if friends can help re the paper and cartridges.

Have to agree with you too, that the fun's in seeing the photos print out there and then :)

    Good luck.
