Sainsbury's own brand pricing - by weight

Sorry, I know the title for this isn't very clear!

The other week, I went into Sainsburys and wanted a tin of mixed beans.

There were a few varieties on the shelf, so I was comparing prices, based on the small writing on the ticket (e.g. £0.27 per 10g)
I was suprised that they had started to compare their tins based on the drained weight, but that other brands were on the canned weight.

I just found it a bit misleading and although not complex, it's a bit confusing when you're trying to find the better deals.

Do any other stores now do this?
