not sure about best way to get mould off the walls but would recommend getting a water spray bottle and filling with water with a tablespoon or two of tea tree oil and regularly misting the walls as this stops the moult growing back.0

The best thing I've found is Dettol Mould Remover in a green bottle. But wear rubber gloves as it is very very strong. Also make sure there's plenty of ventilation as the odour is just as strong. But it does work.0

Thanks moneysavin thats handy to know its driving me mad so if i can reduce it in anyway its a good thingbitter...lol0 -
A one without chemicals is eucalyptus oil, still strong stuff so be careful when applying. Bleach is usually one of the best things to remove it but mould does stain quite badly.
Finding why it's happening would probably help the most, dehumidifiers can help with damp problems. Airing the room frequently of course will help. One day I might be more organised...........

Got to agree, this is by far the best stuff I've found. But do be so careful - it'll take the colour out of anything so don't get it on clothes/curtains/wallpaper. I've used it on painted wallpapered walls and it was ok, but I'd be wary of spraying it on a patterned/coloured wallpaper. It stinks too, so wear gloves otherwise you'll smell like a swimming pool for days.0 -

My bathroom window is open nearly all day and we still have a mould problem... children splashing in baths prob. doesn't help! :rotfl:Boo!:rotfl:0 -
We have a bad mould prob in the bathroom, but the window dosent open. I tend to leave it and every 3 months bleach clean the walls. Also some idiot has artexed the walls. Will try tea tree oil as i have some in the cupboard. Any other suggestions?0

Not really old-style, but I use Hagesan Mould spray. It's got bleach in it, so be careful of clothes, carpet, etc. I get it from our local hardware store. Homecare Essentials on the web also do it: http://www.homecareessentials.co.uk/acatalog/Mould_Spray.html
For smaller areas or if there's only a small amount of mould I just use thin bleach.0
