Mortgage info needed

Hi all

Simple question for starters

I'm not very clued up on anything mortgage-related at the moment, could anyone recommend me some sites or books - I need something for absolute beginners, I currently have no idea how mortgages work.

Contact a building society and ask for details of their mortgages  or visit the Building Societies Association which links to more than 60 Websites.  Ask your parents ?  Your friends ?  Start to get a general idea.

This is the tricky bit:-
Before you know where you are you may understand that the customer gives the mortgage and gets a loan the lender gives a loan and gets a mortgage.

1 Do not take what most lenders say for granted.

2 Use this site

3 Use you legs and visit the building societies etc. on the High Street.

4 Do not accept no for an answer, there will always be someone who is willing to lend

5 Be thoruogh with want you want.

6 Have at least 3 quotes

7 Look at the real cost
