Help needed with Scottish Widows!!!!

Hello,
Any help or advice here would be proper nice of you. Me and my good one are buying a house. Our "financial advisor" found us a good mortgage with Scottish Widows. We have got a Graduate Mortgage fixed rate for 5 years....however, heres the problem. My girlfriend didnt/hasnt got a permanent job (it is contracted every 3 years) so we were forced to use her dad as guarantor on property. He is liable for 28k, the house is worth 114k.
My lady is panic stricken because she feels that we are unable to shake her dad off when she has a permanent job. Our FA told us we could do it as soon as a job was found.....i would ring scottish widows but i feel that i havent been given a straight answer - this is just the last thing in a long line of things that have gone wrong or show potential of going wrong.
Anyway, if anybody knows the truth, that would be good!

Most lenders will remove guarantors once the borrowers can prove they can service the loan in their own right. I am not 100% on SW's policy, but in general.
