I always thought it was spelt Cutch though.
It isn't spelt as it sounds at all is it? It's such an evocative word for me - I even have a cwtchy blanket that I keep behind the sofa to use on nights where I just want to wrap up warm and watch some nonsense on the telly0 -
He comes out with some really weird sayings sometimes.
'ahh your such a souk'

Ha ha I use that all the time too! Does he also say 'Ych y Fi' if he really doesn't like something?0 -
It seems that most people are either autumn/winter people or summer people. Is there anyone who likes both equally?
Ive been in town today, and while everyone else was sniffing through the reamins of the sale, I was up the back checking out the new coats and boots coming in for autumn. Im thinking about starting a new craft project, my first knitted piece of clothing. Im going to hunt for a pattern for a nice winter cardigan, and some lovely soft wool too!

What a lovely thread!
I can't deny I'm a spring/summer person, when I wake up and can feel the bright rays on my face I just feel so happy and want to spring out of bed and stand at the window (I want to get up even if it's a work day!!). And I find that at this time of year I feel so positive about everything in life and want to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I love going to parks and taking in all the vivid, bright colours of the flowers everywhere, seeing butterflies flitter in front of me, bees buzzing by flowers...everything just feels so alive!
I do like autumn too, come September/October time the leaves do look pretty in a multitude of reds, yellows, browns, and hearing them crunch under my feet...and all the newly harvested vegetables in the greengrocer. Plus the quality of light at this time of year is very special as I drive to work in the morning.
Although I do feel a bit down in winter and especially struggle with getting up in the pitch black there are the pleasant aspects. Bonfire night is always a treat watching the lit up skies standing close to boyf for warmth in the bitter cold night. Making scones and eating them still warm with melting butter on Sunday afternoons in front of the fire. And the excitement of Xmas approaching and decorations brightening everything up, the social dos and fun of finding perfect gifts for loved ones...then the joy and family closeness of Xmas itself... and the prospect of a new year and new beginnings on Jan 1st and the necessary celebrations and merriment.
Spring brings the promise of new life with bright crocuses making an appearance, and clumps of bright yellow daffs everywhere. Tiny green buds peep out on trees and fluffy baby birds and other animals appear.
So really I try to appreciate evry season but TBH am in my element right now, if only the clouds would go away to leave a bright blue sky!
