    MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Its a scam to get you to pay money up front. 100 people pay the money up front and they earn £60,000. FSA reckon approx 1.5% of those contracted out were mis-sold so the success rate is so low that they are really looking at a very low success rate.

The claims companies that phone you are breaking so many rules and telling so many lies (the scripts have been posted before and the lie to get the money)that you should not under any circumstances use them. Some are not even based on this country but have a redirected postal address. I have seen some of the template letters they use (as I go to meetings where we are given compliance guidence) and the letters they send in are all the same. Its a pure hit and hope by them that cost them a second class stamp, a sheet of A4 and a template letter on MS Word they use for everyone. They pay the phone caller (who is not FSA authorised or qualified to give advice so wouldnt know right from wrong anyway) a share of the money so its in their interests to get you to sign up and keep the rest for themselves.

Totally disgraceful that they can get away with this. The MoJ appears to be a very weak regulator and has given no signals that it is going to crack down on rogue claims companies.

This is an FAQ and there are many posts on it but take a look at this thread for more detail:
