re-morgage and solicitor fee

I asked this question early. I still can't understand why solicitor is charging 492.05 for a remortgage. this for a property in n.ireland. here is the break up of the charges
professional fee 250.00
vat 43.75
LT buyer search fee 113.30
land registry fee 70.00
bank fee tt 15.00
I asked HSBC whether they require any searches by solicitor and according to them they already did all searches and didn't askany extra searchs. So I asked the soli to give a break down of search fee and here is the break down
statutory charge register
land registry
bankruptcy enforcement of judgment office
Is this a reasonable fee or am I paying a lot more ?thanks maveli

Sorry but quite difficult to read. I guess my main comment would that you should have got a quote at the start of this. Secondly HSBC will not do the searches that your solicitor does, they will do credit searches, not land registry etc searches.
