If you have any information that any of the sites I've posted are anything to do with filesharing, I'd like to know myself. Personally, I think you made a mistake along the line there somewhere.

I know all about filesharing, I use it all the time (not the ones you mentioned, there are better methods out there). I never discuss how, why or where I do this when I post in these forums. It is against the rules.

As I've said before. The sites I've posted are offering music for free legally. They are NOT in ANY way connected to ANY method of filesharing, P2P or illegal downloading.

http://www.archive.org/ has some free music, but I've found it most useful for it's collection of free videos. There's all sorts, from independant political documentaries to 1950s informational videos about 'a disease, a disease called... homosexuality'. There is also a bunch of copyright free texts - in short, it's a great resource for a variaty of free media :D

As we are on the subject of free legal mp3's, I would just like to add a site called soundclick.com This site offers free legal mp3's to download or listen to directly on their site. The site is made up mainly of unsigned artists and songwriters, and it gives them a chance to get their music heard by a worlwide audience, and hopefully build a fan base for their music. Most of the music is of a very high standard, and just as good as some of the stuff already being played on the radio.
As an amateur songwriter I have a few songs already on this website, and they are available for anyone to listen to or download completley free of charge.
All you have to do is register as listener, which again is free. None of your details are used except to login, and they never contact you or pass your details on.
The following links will take you to the site and direct to my page.

Have a listen and see what you think. Feel free to leave me any feedback on my songs, and download them if you want to FREE OF CHARGE of course.

It could be a typo, if you try vitaminc instead of vitaminic it comes up with This website which has downloads on.

Looks like they are doing a complete site revamp at the moment (that's the message I got when I just tried the link). Maybe try them in a week or so, see if they've finished their work.

  • Seems the Irish Vitaminic site is still up at the moment if people want to visit and maybe get a flavour of what it's about. It seems if you clck on the orange links underneath the artists name and blurb it takes you to a page where you can see what songs are free and which ones you would need to pay for.
