Secured loan master broker Access Broker Services is believed to have closed down, making all staff redundant
In a meeting at 10.30am this morning in the firm’s Glasgow head office staff were told they were being made redundant. A member of staff told Mortgage Solutions: “About 30 of us were called into a meeting and told that we were all losing our jobs. It was a complete shock for everyone.”
The employees have also been told they will not receive their salary this month, due to have been paid tomorrow, according to the source. “I cannot believe they left it until the day before payday to tell us. We have been given some forms to help us claim compensation from the Government.”
The firm had been dealing with brokers since 1988, according to its website, which said it employed 80 people in its head office and six corporate development managers on the road.
Owner of the company Laurence Ihle was not able to be reached for comment.

They are up in Scotland and have never used them.
But that is quite harsh. They must have known something is on the cards? Going to do a quick check on the FSA register.0
