pollsdolls wrote: »Hi Jelly Tots. I think what we are losing sight of here is the real problem is not the bleeping tils but the fact that Boots have issued a 'Legitimate' voucher in order to buy a 'legitimate' item, and pay with 'legitimate' money.
The fact that either the voucher or the till is at fault should not be reflected in you (or us) Hold your head high, and dont take Boots faults onto your own shoulders.
It is not your fault that it does not work, so throw the responsibility back where it belongs to the source where it was issued. Assistants must realise that it is a valid coupon, we did not print it ourselves. It is obviously a nationwide problem, so perhaps we should ask Boots what they are doing about it.
Perhaps we should all email Boots to highlight the problem. And as for the security men, they have a job to do, but my reply if ever stopped will be, "How many shoplifters carry fistfuls of 'money off coupons?" :cool:0 -

afternoon ladies
im just back from glasgow fort boots, they had no7 tinted moisturiser for half price :T but when i got to the till they charged me full price and I didnt notice until I got home  do you think they will be ok if I take it back
Got soap and glory stuff with the 400 points, some boots own toothpaste on clearance, 85p for those pump things, they had mouthwash, floss too for under a pound.
I tried to use the mag coupon with the wisdom toothbrush, it was half price in store and the till beeped  the supervisor came and said the voucher was for a new range that hadnt come in yet, I was really close to saying BUT all the ladies on mse have already got it lol :rotfl: ah well never mind.
When I went to ACM I hardly had any offers, just a few comps and 150 points on a £20 spend. Rubbish.
I had the same problem with No7 tinted moisturiser ,the medium one went through at full price but SA overode the till when I pointed it out (then refused me a GWP as i was paying with points -reprted to CS and 2000pts compo to me!)
They are sealed so take them back
The signs in my store did not say only 1 shade!:j I love bargains:jI love MSE0 -
Sounds like some great shopping going on!
On another note - someone recommended getting the moisture barrier hairspray by John Frieda. I got some and just used it on naturally dried hair followed by straighteners and my hair is amazing! (even if I do say so myself!)
I will def be getting more of that, especially as it is only 49p with haircare voucher. Thanks for the tip. Here come the girls....100% Gorgeous!!!0 -

What a wonderful shop...........I am not that brave:o
I always end up buying other stuff to diguise freebies!
Going to try some toothbrushes later,at least they don't take up much room in the cupboard!
i'm normally very timid too. Its just that i went to visit a friend today,....and pop into the boots near her house. Armed with the knowledge that i will probably NEVER go in there again (its 40 mintues away from my house), i decided to be brave.
I wont dare to try that in my local boots.0 -
