Thursday 13/03/08 What small dfw thing have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I have /will
  • Checked online banking -
  • Done clicks
  • Make storecupboard meals
  • Make bread in breadmaker
  • Look out for some bargains at oldies Easter fayre
  • Have a low spend day
Have a good day everyone:D
Reduce,re-use, recycle.

I have done some daily clicks (although these seem to be decreasing in value each time!).

I also renewed my house insurance, I checked out policies through a comparison site and then went through Greasypalm to buy insurance through Prudential. My premium was £53 cheaper than previous provider plus I will get £60 cashback. The pay monthly option was expensive i.e 22% but I put the whole lot on my Virgin credit card where I have 0% interest on purchases at the moment. I will pay it off in the next couple of months. I feel very satisfied for being so canny!
Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time
