good morning

got a letter from debitas collection yesterday, something to do with cap one, i need to write back to them but i ripped the letter up by mistake and put it in the bin, now its covered in yesterdays left over tea !!!!

any one got the address please.

and are they ok ??

Debitas Legal Services are part of Capital One as far as I know.

They certainly don't have any of the registrations/licences required to collect consumer debt in their own name, and I've only heard ever heard of them in association with debts to Cap One.

A quick search also seems to indicate that they are normally a bit reluctant to give their postal address when when people ask, or confirm who owns them.:rolleyes:

I would get in touch with Cap One, or just wait for the next threatogram from Debitas.

Though I wouldn't call or write to them as they are typical bully boys, see my thread 'having fun with Debitas' for an idea of how to deal with them on the phone.

If they are pursuing you for the debt, be sure to ask for the CCA - they most probably won't be able to send it to you even though they are a part of the capital one group.

Whatever you do, if you do phone or write to them, make sure you initially say that you do not acknowledge a debt to them!!
