today i bought some material and have made cushion covers for my outside swing/seat - they have been falling apart for a while (cause i leave them out in the rain) and i have looked for new ones but cant find them so i dug out my mothers sewing machine, bought some new needles and it appears that the year of domestic science did actually achieve something, i can remember how to tread the machine and even how to reload the spool. :j
the edges arn't very straight and i am sure i will never be good but its a start and the cushions actually look more than okay - on a money saving note the material and needles cost £9.
so....next time some more hardwearing material (i bought cheap stuff cause i thought it would go horribly wrong) and better measuring and i might just pull it off :T
