Is there any way of finding out if someone has a CCJ ?

Does anyone know ? Like a register somewhere.
Background, I am thinking of suing a garage and suspect they might have been up to no good before. It might be useful if I could document that there is a pattern ie other disgruntled customers who went to Court. I know the local Court they ( the defendent ) could get any case reassigned to. But it's also possible there could be some further afield. It's also possible there are none. So how can I find out, one way or another ?
