mortgage help needed

i am still waiting for my mortgage offer.
valuation was done yesterday and i know they have credit checked me cause i had a look on experian.

does anyone know if they only do valuation when they have decided to lend the money. they haven't asked for payslips but the kfi states mortgage is self cert due to oh wages being made up with overtime.

they have now started phoning me to try and get me to buy house insurance off them is this a good sign we have got the mortgage or have they just passed our details onto another department.

i know it hasnt been long but only waitin for mortgage offer now cause searches already done and everyone waiting now to exchange.

also my broker assistant called today to see if she could try and get me some insurance. i asked her if she knew if mortgage offer had come through and she said i think it is on its way to you. surely they wouldn't bother sorting insurance until they know if i have mortgage offer.

im very impatient now as my broker answered my emails at the start quickly and hasn't even read or replied to one i sent over a week ago. ( im really not badgering him honest!!! thats why i sent email instead of phoning) think he has got bored now he has my business.

The offer letter can only be issued once a satisfactory survey has been done - so the fact it was done two days ago means that you are jumping the gun a little

It sounds like the only thing missing is the survey, which should be back pretty quickly. Once that is in, and has been checked, the offer letter will get issued for you.

Do not automatically think that it gets looked at as soon as it arrives back at the lender - it gets put in the queue with all the rest, and will get done asap.

got mortgage offer today, will be able to sleep tonight now and its come back at a better rate than the kfi.
