What Covert Video Equip for Mystery Shop

I have being doing ms for a year now and was thinking of trying out some covert work. What equip do you use, any idea about the cost?

I wouldn't buy the equipment up front. It's expensive, and you might find you don't even like the job. I've also used different formats - some is recorded onto mini video tapes, other companies prefer digital recordings onto memory cards and PDA's. It would be a shame to buy a tape kit then to find the company wanted a digital recording.

Ask the companies you work if they need video shoppers using their equipment first, and get a feel for the job. It's not as easy as it looks and it takes some practise making sure you get plenty of head shots and everything you are supposed to capture.

I've done video shopping for a few years now and I still haven't bought the equipment as I can't justify spending that much on equipment and not have regular work coming in to use it.
