You can get gift bags free in Debenhams if you are a gold card holder. The T&C of the gold card say that gift wrap is available for full price merchandise. However being a true MSE I only buy in Debs when reduced. I always ask for gift wrap and have never been refused.

On Sunday I asked for a gift bag for a watch I had bought (reduced to £4.50 from £15). She reached behind and said "is this too small - probably" and gave me a handful of pink small bags and a couple of large ones. My cheeky daughter said "oh I liked the red ones" so she gave me a few of these too. Ended up with 10 gift bags which had price tags on of £1/£1.50 :)

Would they give you these bags even if you bought something cheap like a pair of tights?

In which case what would be the cheapest thing you could buy in Debenhams? I suppose it would be too cheeky to ask for gift wrapping for the free mag LOL

The advert with the gold card just says free gift wrapping for all full price merchandise. You of course have to pay with your gold card. I ask for gift wrap though with all purchases, even 75% off items. I have never been refused yet, even when buying tights!

Also some Debenhams have gold card lounges. Free hot drinks and lockers available. Good place to sit OH while I browse :)

Oo free coffee, I expect its just the London ones, anyone know of a list? Our Debenhams in Chester has about 7 floors but no lounge as far as I know

The Oxford Debenhams has a Gold Card holders lounge with the tea/coffee/hotchoc machine. Unfortunately it was out of order when I was last there (Wednesday)

Picked a bundle up in Boots today. :T

Also got some different gift bags on BOGOF (although no mention of the offer on the shelves)

They are the small mesh type gift bags, so much sturdier and reusable. They would be suitable for a couple of full size bottles or some minis etc. They rang through at 37p for two. :):):) (They were on sale not long ago for £2 each!!)
