just to confirm that the highlighted firm is nothing to do with me !!
Nope different company all together, I should have thought of that before posting, (sorry) I just wanted to get a message accross, as the places I have listed, are making so much money out of people who dont know anything about them. Once again sorry.0 -

Hi there,
Anyone got any advice please ?
Took out an 18k secured loan on our property back in 2004, paying £245 per month and still got 10 years to go.
Thanks to this site and becoming more financially aware we are learning from and dealing with our finances....we have some credit debts which we have defaulted and are paying at reduced rates but have never had ccjs .
We seem to be paying over the odds for the above loan and would like to get a better deal, (after all the more we can save -the more there is in the pot to pay off other debts and eventually become debt-free....Oh how I long for that day!)
Question is.... are we likely to be accepted in our circumstances?

My mum took out a loan with welcome she also had PPI under there instruction, the loan was for £15000 pay back was £25000 she has paid back £22000 the loan is secured on her house. She had to give up work due to illness so was glad for the insurance as it paid a bit off, but this was a couple of years ago, the insurance would only pay for a year so she had to go back to work. She is now in the process of selling her house so asked for a settlement figure which she has just recieved at 7,230. 4,700 was a default interest charge as it took a while for the insurance to be sorted out. can this legally be done as it seems a little unfair, up to this time she had never missed a payment of £346 pm. If anyone can help please advise?0
