Ok, I have an update on my current situation. The fee-taking debt company I am with will let me cancel with 14 days notice, which is good. I have sent an online enquiry to Payplan and will get a call on monday.
I recieved our total outstanding debt statement today. Here goes;
1) Aqua Credit Card (partner) £249.15
2) Capital One Credit Card (me) £1518.88
3) Barclaycard (me) £432.90
4) EGG Credit Card(me) £2106.95
5) Black Horse (joint loan) £2296.93
6) CDCS (me overdraft) £1524.90
7) Aqua Credit Card (me) £2735.96
8) Alliance & Leicester Overdraft (joint) £783.96
9) Barclaycard (me) £2216.44
10) AMEX Credit Card (me) £4995.62
Total Debt = £18,861.69
Wow, that was hard to write. We didn't originally owe that much, but i guess its gone up because it took the debt company some time to get the charges all frozen etc.
They have calculated our new disposable income as £99 a month, but i'm sure we will be better when I go back to work next month after maternity leave.
I really hope i'm doing the right thing.0
