had valuation done what happens next

our valuation has been done today on property we want to purchase does anyone know when mortgage lender will start to ask for proof of income etc or would they have gone straight to employer.
alos as halifax have got valuation done is this a good sign we will get mortgage offer. we did get a mortgage offer in principle but im panicking as i have a default on my credit history but everything else is fine.

did you mention the default to them originally?
i would ring them to arrange to see the advisor and take your stuff up (wage slips and id)....You're my wife now Dave.......0 -
my broker knows about my adverse credit and before getting the valuation fee off me he checked with his woman at halifax to check our credit rating, which came back as a b (whatever that means).
we are borrowing less than 75% ltv, hoping this will be good for us.0 -
I would imagine that if the broker has not asked for payslips etc then Halifax dont want them. Talk to your broker if you are worried.

he hasn't asked for any proof of income but it does say on our kfi that it is a self cert due to my husband earns a lot of overtime.
it is with halifax which i thought were quite strict.0
