Hi,
I have/had one CCJ on my credit file, which is due to 'drop off' this month - at last! The CCJ was dated 26 March 2002. I have checked my credit files, and the CCJ is not showing on Experian or Equifax - and I think my credit has improved somewhat this month as my bank has pre approved me £20,000 in loans or £2000 in overdraft and a 0% BT card - (blimey!).. Dont worry, I am not gonna touch the money, however may now become a card tart (My MBNA card is charging me £55 alone in interest a month  ...)
Anyhooos, I checked my CallCredit file and the CCJ is still on there.. Will that 'drop off' after the 26th? And how comes the CCJ is not on the other files??
Thanks in advance!!

Should do.
In theory the CCJ should be on all three since it is "public record information" which all three CRAs should pick up. In practice though, some strange things can happen when it comes to linking old accounts and judgements to your new records. I'm sure Experian and Equifax are aware of the CCJ somewhere, but for some reason the connection hasn't been made with your current file.
Since the records would drop off your file very shortly even if they did show, then it's not something to be too concerned about.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I see. I thought you meant that they hadn't been on those two recently either. If they have removed the records of them a bit early, I can't see that it's any problem to you.
I have a vague memory that some types of information are only updated once per month (or something like that). Must find out sometime.
As far as Callcredit is concerned it should be gone from there soon as well.
From: http://www.callcredit.co.uk/consumer/your-questions-answered/faq-display/public-data#faq6How long do judgments stay on a credit file?
We retain judgments for six years from the date of judgment. If you pay the judgment within one month of the original judgment date, and obtain a Certificate of Satisfaction from the Court, then Registry Trust will advise us of the cancellation of the judgment and all records of that judgment will be removed from our records. If the judgment is paid in full after the first month and you obtain a Certificate of Satisfaction, the judgment will be marked as being satisfied and will remain on our records for six years from the date of judgment.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
