I want to buy a bread maker and (obviously
) don't want to pay the earth, but I have no ideas where to start looking or what type is a good bread maker, all I know that I do want is one I can do small or large loaves.
If anyone has a breadmaker or has seen one in a deal anywhere any information at all would be fantastic.
Thanks
Batgirl

Hi
I can recommend the Panasonic SD253. Its not the cheapest but I've had one for a couple of years and I'm still using it and very rarely buy bread because its so easy to use and the bread it produces is excellent.
Amazon had a special deal on another Panasonic breadmaker around christmas quite a few on here bought one and people appeared to be pleased.0 -

if you want to keep the price down, why dont you look on e bay for a bread maker and if you do a search by the nearest first, then you might be able to buy one off somebody that only lives a couple of miles away,i have seen them sell on e bay for £15 new
i also seen some in tesco on monday for £25 , reduced from £450 -
Thats fab thanks for your help will look at tescos next week.
A friend of mine says she has the Morphy Richards Fast bake bread maker and she loves it, anyone else have an opinion about this one?
Thanks again

I have the Morphy Richards Fastbake, I bought it direct from the Special Offer section of their website for £24.99 last year but I've just looked and it's not available there at the moment. I think it's good, but it's the only BM I've ever had so I can't really compare it with anything else. There is a long thread on it here, it seems to be v popular for the price:
