Will tesco online match/beat amazon prices?

I know they do with the chart books, but what about the rest? The book I want to order is £25 at amazon and £34 at tesco online... a £9 difference for exactly the same book!

If I email them will they do anything?

Why don't you email and see?? They usually reply within 24 hours. Juat say that you are a loyal customer who would much rather spend your money in their shop than Amazons

Worth a try. Then again, why not just order from Amazon? You'll probably have had the book delivered before Tesco reply to your email.

I'm not a loyal tesco customer though! Yes, I usually order most of my stuff from Amazon anyway... I just went to the tesco website knowing they are in the business of trying to beat the competition and was shocked at the difference! Especially when they like to make such a big deal of being "better" than Amazon.

In fact, I think i'd prefer to order it from Amazon. I guess my actual question to Tesco then is why are you ripping off your customers?
