wanted coloured sugar for candy floss machine

i bought a candy floss machine a couple of weeks ago and i am now looking for coloured sugar for the machine, i have looked in the usual supermarkets , asda, morrisons etc, i would prefer to buy it in the local store, then send away and pay postal prices on top of the product price,

any advice would be great , thanks

    yes have brought these before! try your local cookery shops anywhere that sell decorations for cakes! they come in a small bpot abit like glitter does! i paid about £1.30-£1.80 last ages! loads of different colours
  • What you are looking for is powdered food colouring. If memory serves correctly, just mix a little in with your regular sugar and away you go.

    I use ordinary liquid food colouring to make coloured sugar for my candy floss machine - just put some regular sugar in a pot with a lid, add a drop of food colouring (a drop of red will produce a lovely candy-floss pink!) put the lid on and give it a really good shake. If the sugar is still "wet" with the colouring then add more sugar and shake again. A tiny drop of food colouring goes a very long way!

  • Hey friend, you can make coloring sugar at your home. You don’t have to pay a premium price for sugar sprinkles in the store. All you need is sugar and liquid food coloring in your favorite color.
