Good magazine deal

Hi, WHSmith have quite a good offer at the moment. They are selling a special pack which includes Marie Claire, Instyle & Livingetc for £4.70. This is a saving of £4.00 if you were to buy mags seperately.Also they are advertising £1.00 off either Marie Claire or Instyle if you buy Now magazine which in effect means you get Now for free. (However the discount was not taken off my bill automatically and had to be taken off manually.) 4 magazines for £4.70 is quite a deal if they're ones you would normally buy.

Hi Nightsong, have only just come back from shop so haven't had a chance to read them yet. I've had a VERY quick flick through them and have found 1 free meal when buying 2 at TGI in Now. 25% off at Shellys shoe shops in Marie Claire. There may well be more and will post if i find anything else.
I should add that checking my till receipt, i've found that the magazine bundle didn't scan and the assistant manually typed in the price of Marie Claire which was £2.50. So 4 mags for £3.50 a save £6.20!

I just went to my local WHSmith and picked up this great bargain!! The lady at the till had the same problem as yours, it wouldnt scan, so she typed in the incorrect price of £2.50 which was on the Marie Claire mag!

So you need to pick up Now and the Marie Clare bundle and then tell the girl about the scanning problem and tell her to manually scan in Marie Clare at £2.50, is that right?

Hi Slewts, there were no signs up in Exeter store, they just had the bundle of 3 magazines on the shelf with all the other womens mags. Hope you manage to find them somewhere.

This didn't work for me in Norwich - bought the magazine bundle for £4.70, Now for £1 and Telegraph for 60p, hoping to take advantage of all the various offers but I paid £6.30 and no discounts came off. Do you think it's worth going back and asking or was I trying to be too cheeky?!


Actually, yes it did! I went back in to WHSmiths this morning and mentioned this to the girl on the till and she said I could have all the discounts. She re-entered all the items and gave me £2 back from the till. So I paid £4.30 for 4 magazines and a paper!
