    Forget Norton

Don't buy Norton, the current version causes as many problems as it solves

I use AVG Free, which is free and automatically updates itself daily

This forum is all about money-saving, Redfox, and somebody paying sixteen quid for Norton is not saving money when we know they can have anti-virus protection for free

Surely it's our duty as moneysavers to point them in the right direction? :p

    I don't disagree with you at all, Roger_Rampant :)

It's just that the previous time a Norton antivirus product was posted the thread went way, way off topic with discussing alternatives (and even got a little acrimonious) and I don't think any of us want that to happen again

    Acrimonious

    Acrid; corrosive; as, acrimonious gall.

Caustic; bitter-tempered' sarcastic; as, acrimonious dispute, language, temper.

    Big word...late in evening...definition needed :)

And yes, if you out to buy an anti virus software package instead of going for the free ones, its a good price :)

Ignore all the pointless posts in the middle of this thread. (this thread is about the product not whether its better to use free ones).

Good value for the Norton protection.

Yes but I bet the version you have isn't the current one. Norton used to be the number one, the bees kness, the top dog, but the latest version causes hard disk problems for a lot of people...
