    I'm fairly certain that you're right in your assertion regarding sale of goods contract, and you're ability to take them to small claims with regards to "loss of bargain". However, I'm also fairly certain that an obvious error negates any contract, and that this, being a blatantly obvious error, would negate any claim and would be laughed out of the small claims.

    Wasting time and effort at both ends , when this looks like a smallish firm.... thats a no, no for me

    They are a small but very proffesional firm, I had an installation by this company and I can recommend them to anyone 'paying'.

    The work they did for me was a very high standard for very little in price, I think most people would benefit more in this day and age simply by emailing the company and informing them of their mistake rather than taking advantange for personal gain and possibly causing a small company to close resulting in job losses
