Being just 8 weeks old, and confined to our garden, our latest feline (Mabel) regularly deposits woodlice and empty snail shells in our kitchen. Makes going barefoot an unpleasantly crunchy experience!

    Yep, that's our Edward!

This is him, he has just the one eye, he was hit by a car when he was young, hence all the sympathetic ladies. he was called Eddie as a kitten but he's a bit haughty and suits Edward better

Awwwwww - he's so cute!! No wonder he's a hit with the ladies, id give him attention!

My girl likes to kill spiders moths and flies that come in the house as she is indoors only, and used to eat them, but now leaves them in a little pile outside the bathroom door for us - I keep a dustpan and brush there now so I can get rid of them in the loo quickly!

my cats regularly bring birds, mice and the occasional frog too, they have bells on so the mice and birds must be really stupid! they bring them home alive to chase - fairly sure its not a pressie, trying to teach OH and myself some skills because they think we are inadequate

always put lights on in the morning though, you never know what you will find on the stairs (their fave killing spot).

My boys will bring me birds and mice. The biggest thing they ever killed was a rat and I only know about it cos a neighbour told he had to pull the rat off Katie. The neighbour watched as they stalked the rat. Kitty got it from behind whilst Katie got it at the neck, the rat managed to get its teeth into poor Katie's paw. A few stitches, antibiotics and pampering later and he was fine. (Yes they both have girls names but are boys, slight mix up at the vets when they were babies!)
I have only 6 neighbours and when my boys were small I gave all the neighbours water pistols so if the boys went into the garden they could scare them off. The end result is my neighbours love my cats, they keep the vermin down (we have fields behind us) and my boys know to come home to use the litter trays.

My cat brought home a mouse as a present when she was very young and she sat on the doorstep as pleased as punch with it (I refuse to have a cat flap for this very reason!) I banged on the door, shouted and carried on (showing no appreciation whatsoever!) and six years on I have never been given another present. She now just leaves the odd mouse in the garden which my 13 year old son kindly disposes of. Who says cats can't be trained?

I once stood on a dead mouse left on the carpet. Even with slippers on it was the most disgusting feeling ever

    Over the years our cats have brought in birds , mice , a frog , moths , a fly , a snail , a slug , a squirrell , a hamster and a baby rabbit

    The last three all survived
Same old same old since 2008

ooo eeck, stepping on a dead mouse which kill my day, bad enough if you accidently stand on a snail or something.

My darling little boy, bought me a Robin!!! Didn't kill it just deposited it in my wardrobe.....I had to catch the little thing and set it free....thankfully the little bird flew off home!!!

They also bring back lots of mice, when we release them, they go and bring back more....sometimes the same one....are they stupid.....they left a dead one by their food bowl....I think they were suggesting maybe I didn't feed them enough!!!!

once it was cat feeding time and they were dutifully called, on seeing me in the kitchen they both dropped their dead mice by the back door, came in the cat flap and had breakfast after cleaning their plates they each went out picked up their mice and went off for a play - awww, it was soo cute that they left their toys by the back door while they ate. :A

shame it never lasted, at least they no longer bring them in the bedroom - under the bed was a killing field for a while - a 3am killing field
