Does your partner earn more than you or less? 50/50 split is only fair if you're both earning exactly the same..

  • Phew, thanks for the last post. I thought you were my missus posting anonymously!

Tell him, he might have some experience, solutions or at least a bit of moral support. I can imagine he would only be dissapointed if you didnt share things with him....

Post your SOA and there will be some clever so and so who can help you save enough to send the pile in the right direction.

    Good luck.

    Hi

Thanks but we need to see the full SOA.

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=107280

As you have already realised, if you just pay the minimum on the Barclaycard and MBNA card, your debt will increase over time. So we need you to add the minimum payments and maximum limits on all the cards.

I now that OH and you are paying lump sums for the mortgage and bills, but some of the savings to be found will be there, so can you ,list them all up as well.

Frighten yourself silly and put the debts into the snowball on https://www.whatsthecost.com

    Phone £30can you go payg?
Housebills £400what does this consist of ie electric/gas/landline/building and contents insurance/water/broadband/ council tax (and the council tax you can ask to do over 12 months not 10)? All of these can be checked to see if they are the cheapest which would save you both on these bills.
    Credit card bills £310
    Loan£202
There is nothing on here for FOOD! Or dental/prescription/optical costs, or going out/fags/ birthday savings/ car, mot, petrol, service, car tax. Are you paying anything to the mortgage?

My suggestion is that you either up your income by doing online surveys, or work out a joint budget, that gives your temporarily a higher level of disposable income.

If this isn't possible, then I would suggest calling CCCS or Payplan and talking through your options. As regards the APR's on the cards, do any of your cards have any spare room on them that you could balance transfer some of the high APR debt onto? This would at least mean then that you were paying of more capital
    good luck
