:j:j Standing order day for me :j:j

£400 added to my monthly saver, taking my total now to £1017.35, just over 4% of my overall total saved:T :T
  • After my year and a half long year of madness after I graduated I have finally paid off all my debts and put my first £300 into my ISA. I have managed to save £500+ of my pay for the last 6 months so hopefully that unimpressive amount with increase quite steadily!
  • Been paid so now Im going to try and be really good all month and not spend too much! I want to spend as little as possible on the food shop so I can save what I don't spend. Thats my plan anyway. That should get me another £100 at the end of the month. I spend far too much at the minute on food.

Payday but thanks to a lot of spending last month, I'm saving £150 less than usual. Even with that I will barely be able to pay off my credit cards (I always pay them in full). Fortunately I can’t raid the house deposit money any more as the rest of the savings comes out tomorrow in standing orders to my regular saver. I will need to borrow from the contingency fund to help pay my mobile bill etc. The good thing is I’ll be spending most of this month with my mum so hopefully a low spend month. Fingers crossed that I will be back to black in May.

Payday today! That means that I've paid a small amount into my ISA (sadly not up to the full amount for this tax year, but hey ho!) and we're now up to 59.7% of our savings target! DH is sorting out his ISA tomorrow - he'd not paid into it in the previous tax year so they'd suspended his account. :wall:

No upper or lower age limit. :D At the moment, the better rates of interest kick in for a mortgage at about 25% deposit - so you'd be looking at £30k - plus fees, of course!
