HL very expensive for stocks and shares isa. Fidelity, Vanguard and several others much lower cost.
Premium bonds aren’t really worth it in my opinion. The payout with average luck is too low.

Depending on how much is in your H2B ISA i would consider opening a LISA instead

On another thread you mention opening a Vanguard stocks and shares ISA. On this thread you mention HL ISA. You know you can only have one right?

hi yes mistake on my part - i have the vanguard ISA
  • Hi all

Lifetime ISA sitting at £2,257.50, First Home Saver at £256.56. Put an extra £20 on top of basic standing order amount into Lifetime ISA which was money I got for Christmas. Also doing the 366 penny challenge and putting the money in the First Home Saver so should build that up a bit faster. Trying to finish paying off car finance by the end of this year (should still have 2 years left on it) so should be able to put lots more to my savings next year.

    Hi all

Sorry for not posting any updates for a few months.

Current figures are £2,481.81 in Lifetime ISA and £355.04 in First Home Saver. Still slow progress but progress nonetheless.

    Keep safe all x

    Hi

Lifetime ISA balance £2,548.06, First Home Saver balance £407.56. Unfortunately it’s snail like progress but am paying off my car finance, overpaying as much as I can, with the intention to clear it by the end of the year (a year early) so I can then focus solely on deposit savings with no other debt.

Hoping to review my finances over the next few weeks to see if any other economies can be made and am hoping to sort out a load of unwanted bits to sell - most of the funds made from this will be car overpayments but will try and syphon some off for my deposit savings if possible.
