Another payday, we have added £820 into the Flat Fund bringing us up to £1620, we are trying to beat each month as we go and are 4.6% the way there! :j0

I'm only £54.84 away from my aim to have £6000 by December.
In a normal month I'd probably be able to hit that but I'm travelling home for my birthday and I'm hoping I'll get a job interview, so we'll see how things go, but it's nice to have a target for the end of the month0 -
We only managed to save £400 this month, though if there's anything left over at the end of the month might save another hundred or so. After last months budgeting disaster and with Christmas coming up we thought it would be a good idea to leave ourselves a bit more spending money this month
Our total now is £6000, with the aim of saving a minimum of £500 a month from here on. By June at the very latest we will have reached our target of £10,000, and will be ready to start the whole buying process :T0 -
The OH and I have decided that this weekend it's going to be SERIOUS accounts time. We're going to sit down and be honest with our spending.
I've decided I'm going to allow myself an "allowance" per week to spend. Anything left over will go into a little "emergency" pot which will be for anything unexpected during the next month and if it's stayed there, I'll add it to savings.
At the moment I'm hoping to have enough for a 10% deposit by October next year however I think with a bit of luck and restraint the OH and I will be able to shave a month or two off that.0 -

Not sure if I am eligible for this board. I am currently saving nothing (in hard cash), but I own a house with my brother and we are overpaying a fair whack each on the mortgage which I see as my "savings."
We overpay by just over £1,000 a month (mortgage is roughly £472 and we just pay £1,500 each month and each month the payment goes down by about £4).
So I suppose (going by my signature), I have £92,941.23 savings.
We are selling up later this year probably and I will have to try and find somewhere for me to buy by myself. I can maybe just about afford a 2 bed flat in my area if I am able to get £100,000 mortgage by myself (which hopefully I will be able to do).Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

This means I'm set to beat my end of year target. :money::www: Progress Report :www:

OH and I have agreed to put £300 each into the Fund as Christmas is coming and my OH clearly hasn't budgeted for it
We also have £50 left over from last months budget so that has been added.
So that takes us up to 6.5% in just 3 months :j0 -
Another £400 into the home saver. £6200 in now.0

So November was a pricey month for us, unfortunately. Mr F's car needed new tyres and brakes and I had to replace my laptop after the last one finally breathed its' last. As a result, I only saved £48.70. On the plus side we are now at a round 15% of our target.MFW 2024 £27500/7500 Mortgage £129,500 Jan 22 Final payment June 38 Now £68489.08 FP May 36 Emergency Fund £20,000 100% Added to ISA 24 £8,060 Save 12k in 24 #31 £20,034.76/20,000 Debt Free 31.07.140
