Just over 16K here!
I've landed myself a grad job, which is fab. Salary isn't as amazing as some (public sector) but its still good. We will have just under 53K coming in between us from September time. Hopefully be able to save just a shade over £1200 per month.
Well done on all the savings peeps0 -
My update is a bit late but at the end of April we had £11842 up from £8692. It was a very good month partly due to getting some work expenses back plus the in-laws gave us £1k from my husband's late grandfather. A sad way to gain money but we're grateful.
This month isn't shaping up to be very good at all, we've had to spend more money for work and those expenses are likely to take a while to come back. I think I'll just be pleased if we finish the month having hit £12k0 -
My total is now: £25,965.60
over the moon with that. It is a contribution of donations from family and working hard!
Aiming for £33k by December if we haven't bought a house by thenon wards and upwards!!

Plus I got offered a new job :T so touching wood (*raps forehead) will have some stability going forward now. My income is set to drop slightly from what it has been, but I should still be able to put away £600 per month from here on in.:www: Progress Report :www:

Mortgage approved for: £84'000

Hello, lots of good news on here, (Well done Jim!) and I am say in our very own house.
We completed at the end of April and have been pretty busy, but Halifax paid our stamp duty (refunded it after we paid it) so I've already made my first overpayment as we are a little more comfortable than we expected to be.
For reference, our £168750 purchase price cost us just shy of £1000 in solicitors fees and searches, but we were also lucky to have the stamp duty paid by the bank
Need to change my sig...

I've just totted up May's totals.
I saved £1,169 (which was actually my ISA interest, so if it hadn't been for that I'd have done badly!).
That brings my 2014 total up to £3,943...

Last month was terrible as predicted. We managed under £200 due to various things but our total is now £12,015 which doesn't sound too terrible. Our next big milestone is £15,000 as then we'll be able to pay off our remaining debt (all on 0%) while still keeping our savings above £10k.
Our big news though is that my husband has been offered a permanent job in York. We currently live in Bath and house prices are vastly cheaper in York than they are here. This is fantastic news for lots of reasons0 -
Hi everyone.
We are at some point in the future looking at getting a mortgage (by the time I'm 40), due to my partners age it will be just on my income. Currently I am only making £15250 and flats in our area start at £120k ish for 2 beds
We are going to get our debts paid off and have one last big holiday before we start saving, July 2015.
I also really need to increase my income, our mortgage aim is 2020.
I wish I had the income some of you guys had.Debt slowly coming down.[STRIKE] DRO off credit report July 2015![/STRIKE] credit history getting better!0
