Were we'll be looking (Worthing) its just over £100k for a 2 bed flat, houses are £150k +. I think I need to be on band 3 (HCA) at least when we move down. Even then on only my wage I'd get a little mortgage0

Not a happy pay day update for me I'm afraid. Overspent a bit in January and then had the car insurance to sort out as well which I elected to pay in full to save the pennies on monthly interest.
Cut a long story short, I actually lost £30 overall on my savings this month.
Still! At least car insurance is out of the way for another 12 months and only about 3 months to go on the car fianance loan, plus the irritating closing fee of £80. Once that is done and dusted I should be able to save between £500-700 per month quite routinely. If only the damed PPI business would hurry up it'd be even better.:www: Progress Report :www:

Just added £200 to my ISA so that makes my house deposit total £13,450 now. Getting there slowly.
I know the next few months are going to be really tough, car insurance, four new tyres, and a cut in hours from one of my part time jobs but I will get there in the end!Saving for a deposit £16,000 / £20,000 - 80%0 -
Payday finally for me too. We've managed to put away another £800 today, not sure if we'll keep it up tho. It's kinda depressing, we rarely even left the flat in January, wish I wasn't so addicted to spending money all of the time.
Keep trying to imagine me losing a brick of our new home every time I'm tempted to pop into starbucks or buy something nice for myself
We're also trying to use up everything in the cupboards which makes for some interesting cuisine
Sorry so many folks are having a rotten time saving, the start of the year is always rubbish for savers.Sealed pot challenge 5 #15490 -
Monthly update from me, managed to add £1110 to the deposit fund today. I've had a very frugal month but also had some interest earned on some savings and a little overtime so added that to this months total. Next month I will only be able to save about half that as I've got some big bills coming up.
I'm aiming to reach my target by the end of the summer but knowing my luck it will probably take a lot longer!Saving for a deposit: £20,551 / £25,000 - 82% of the way there...0 -
Managed to save a bit extra than my target this month and crept up another 2% towards my target
My mum keeps sending me mortgage calculators etc but I am trying to hold off as I have at least a year to go really!Weight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0 -
