I'm only 24 so I know have plenty of time yet!!
Having said that my ex has just got engaged & bought a house, so am feeling a tincy bit jealous (more of the house than the engagement though, he wasnt good enough for me lol)0 -
Lol! I didn't clock the Wednesday there! I know she'll be after an ice-cream though, be a gent and treat her to it with the saving on the ticket, always a good idea to butter the date up early on.
Fallen in love with another house this week. Absolutely everything we could want from a house to see us through the next 30 years. Lots of land, outbuildings, large, listed, needs a lot of restoration work so could be personalised, nice village location, dropped over £200k in price, so about 40% since it came on the market in December, no chain. Really annoyed we don't have the deposit!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I've fallen in love with a house this week too. It's 172,950 and in a couple of years that'd be at the top end of our price range. It's just beautiful! Oh well. Only another couple of years of saving...at least the end is in sight now!

Everyone seems to be doing really well with their savings!! :T
We've now reached our moving fees and costs target which we set at 15K. I know it sounds a lot, but we wanted some in reserve and it can also include new items like white goods or a new carpet say.
So we are now going to add to our emergency fund and really bump that up. Then i guess its ploughing back into the deposit to increase that further. Its currently 100K but any extra will be bonus and if we keep going at this rate we could be thinking of a 50% deposit or more!
I've sold a few more items on Amazon which has added a few bob and I'm working towards a promotion at work.
I'm currenlty eyeing up a new payg mobile as I've had mine years and it looks tatty now. Trouble is I WANT a new phone - I don't NEED a new phone. Its only £79, but not buying these little things has really helped our savings. Oh go on someone tell me to treat myself!! :rotfl:£2019 in 2019 #44 - 864.06/20190
