I have to agree with the above, it would be too small for me to consider buying. It doesn't even have a full length bath which could certainly be on my essentials list! Also there is no storage space, or space to create storage space. Suitcases, Christmas decorations etc will have nowhere to go and the place would very quickly be cluttered. The bedroom isn't big enough for an extra cupboard to allow for storage, and you can't have many friends over with only space for a two seater sofa in the lounge!

I think it's lovely for a first flat but the storage would be a problem I think. I would maybe see if I could get it for less than asking price and then decide. Maybe cite the storage and other issues and ask for their best offer?
Not really sure how these things work but it is really nice! Let us know what you decide.

  • JimLad is the flat on the top floor? We rented a top floor flat which gave us the attic as storage space. However I really hated living in a flat due to horrible neighbours and was glad when we could move out.

    Re The storage space...

It comes with a single garage which could hold a few boxes of stuff im sure.

I think i might hold out for a while longer though and look for something slightly bigger.

    I am 6ft 4 afterall :)

Jim - I think it looks cute - probably not what you want to hear :p. I think it's ok for one person without much stuff.

Has anyone else noticed there's no Plot No. 13??

Got a job in London afer graduating in July 07, started in Feb 08. Lived down here for a year with my OH then decided to move out Jan 09 back to our respective parents houses, mainly to actually be able to save more than £50pcm, and also because renting is horrible (LLs, LAs etc etc) and we still arn't too old to live at home :D

I have x2 regular savers accounts going, and with other additional savings I am saving ~£800pcm, and am just about to open a lloyds vantage account to get a nice 3% on a balance of over £3k, and move all spending to a 1% cashback mastercard too. Gotta love MSE :j

My OH has just been promoted within a year of working at her company and will be saving £900-£1000pcm. Looking at saving about £40k over the next 18/24months if possible, then look at buying.

It's going to be a long road, but really can't wait to own a nice flat/house :T

I'm up to 8.5% of my target! Woo hoo! Just got 71.79 from mystery shopping and switching my electricity! A nice bonus to our savings! Also dh regular saver should get the annual interest added to it today. His doesn't have the maximum in it but still every little helps. Also joined the save the change with lloyds and got 3.11 in a few days so that's cool.

    Happy saving everyone!

75% of deposit target saved, with target date of Feb 2010 to hit my dream 40% deposit!!! Once we get there, are planning to start putting money aside for furniture and moving costs, but just found out I may be moving with work abroad for 3 years, so will be saving for some time yet (if we dont emigrate).

If prices dont fall another 20%, plan will be to booger off to somewhere nicer than the UK (not hard to find at the moment). Good news is, after another 3 years saving, we would nearly have 100% for a lovely 200 acre farm, with house, on the outskirts of Toronto.

Why do people want to live in the UK again?

ohhhhhh sounds good. For £20 you could get a mud hut somewhere probably but would it be in a nice area...?

Just kidding. I think sometimes about how much more we could get for our money else where. It must be nice to have the option with your work

Well we've just added another £20 interest and £56 water rebate to our total- it's amazing how much it adds up! We now have 8.6% of our taget! I'm so pleased. It reminds me of when I was paying off my debts and by adding little and often I cleared them so much faster than I thought I could. I hope this works out the same- i'll actually have something to show for it at the end of all this and I cannot wait!
