How do people get into the babysitting role? Is it money extra or as an actual job? I have a little girl so well experienced in this! Maybe i could earn a few quid here and there?

Hi all, I've only just found this thread too even though I've been scrawling through MSE for months!
We need some advice on how to keep motivated when saving for a deposit-we have no savings (apart from the money in our tenancy deposit!) and are currently paying off a loan and overdraft total is about 7000-8000.
We feel like we're never gonna get any savings together as there is either always something to pay out for or you buy something for a quick fix because you don't feel very happy with the situation!
Motivation tips please! Also could someone tell me how you do the % for a deposit as Carrie85 does?! Maybe that will help us a little on the way there! (I can't concentrate enough to figure it out at the moment!)
Thankyou!0 -

Welcome to the thread!
We find putting the odd few quid in here and there really helps - someone on here had a signature that said something along the lines of - every £1 you save now takes £3 off your mortgage repayments. - That ALWAYS keeps me motivated :T
Setting yourself little goals instead of one big daunting goal helps keep you on track too! xDFW Total £21,800 to clear by Dec 2022
