Loan late payment charges

Hi, Sorry if I missed any threads on this but can we reclaim charges for late payments on loans?
My son and his wife took out an unsecured loan over 15 years with Halifax about 4 years ago. He and his wife separated 2 years ago and they both had money problems which meant they missed 2 payments. They are being charged £30 each month now because they are still effectively late paying the 2 missed payments, although they are now paying regularly including the extra £30 of charges. Neither of them can afford to make up the 2 late payments at the moment and so they are continuously being charged.
Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome please.

It seems possible that you can.

This thread is quite long but should help your son.0 -
Thanks for the link - I'll have a go and see what I can do.
I was very successful helping my son reclaim bank charges of over £2,000 last year thanks to this site. What a shame that we have to resort to claiming back these charges - there must be thousands of people who haven't claimed because they just don't know they can or for some reason are unable to.0
