Free Self Employment courses?

Does anyone know if there are any courses run either free or paid where I can learn about self employment accounts and working out tax etc? I'm sure I read a while ago that the HMRC sometimes runs some but for the life of me I cannot find any information on it?

yes, HMRC do run these courses - contact your local tax office. Also try Business Link.
